camp

last week was camp where we had fun , i even wrote about it.

It’s fun to stay at the Y M C A

The night before it, school camp ,i was taken over by my nerves. the very next day i checked i had everything for camp and then i was off, kerpoof i disappeared from school to shakespear lodge. when we arrived  the camp looked the opposite of what i had pictured . i it was slightly colossal.but i mean give it some applause because its 100 years old.

Well , come on the activities are the best part so let's talk about them.

mountain boarding , something i never thought i would do . it's one of those things that starts scary but as you do it more you grow more confident. mountain boarding even turned out to be quite fun.

Kayaking was all round very enjoyable and fun, even if you got wet shoes. “pow” shot the arrow as you pulled back the string. this was what kind of things happened with the awesomely amazing arrow archery.

UHF Radios was another fun one , i mean we played a game called UHF sardines which is like sardines but with uhf radios to ask questions.

Slowly , we crawled through the thick tall grass hoping we wouldn't be spotted. hiding under and next to large shady cars , always being petrified that you could get spotted. slithering across the ground hoping not to see the destructive lights.waiting , waiting and more waiting to hear the angelic sound of the bell ringing and dinging. that was spotlight.

I thought that it was good to be with your friends in your cabin and to be in a completely randomized activity group.we worked well as a team an grew to know each other a bit more. overall this school camp was a fun first.

athletics day

athletics day : one of those evil yet sunny days where some are  happy and i'm just medium on athletics day . the only fun part was long jump ,but come on long jump was so fun and at least i had my book that sporty day.

bike safety

On Monday we had bike safety and i was chosen to be a course shouter , so i was standing at the course and shouting feedback .
I also got to take many photos and wow was it funny seeing constable gordon riding a bike.

wenderholm sustainability challenge

The beautiful views and sunny beaches were amazing even if it was only sunny for 30 minutes and
 the challenges fun as ever , but to be certain i couldn't choose a  favourite but i could say that this was an amazing trip. My 2 favourite challenges were the seashell sands challenge and carry the milk buckets challenge but i must admit that i enjoyed Ambury park more.

the tree house deluxe

in these past 2 weeks i have made a tree house including a fire mans  pole

a ladder and 4 rooms. i am very happy with it and i feel i have worked my hardest i hope you enjoy looking at the picture below. oh and would you like this to be your tree house?

the bird millions

Here at Kohimarama Primary school the

students have been observing wildlife.

And with just 30 minutes many students

Have found blackbirds, sparrows , robins and tuis .

So it came to our attention that there must be many birds living at Kohimarama School.

This week is conservation week.

This means it is a week to conserve our environment

When I spent time observing birds, I  saw 12 birds in total ,

I saw 1 Blackbird , 3 Sparrows , 5 Robins and 3 Tuis.

Personally  I think it's because there are so many trees in our school.

Now to the facts . The reason tuis were enticed here  is because at Kohimarama School there are many flax bushes . Well  then why did we find so many other birds? Well we attracted robins and sparrows from the large amount of trees and worms.And blackbirds well  blackbirds are just very common.

Remember to look after our environment and help to conserve it so that you can also see these beautiful birds in your garden.

the writer: a narrative

In writing I have been writing a narrative called "The Writer". I have also  been working on Vocab and Spelling.

It was 8:17 April 1st 2001 and Peter Warborly was heading to work on his motorbike. Finally he arrived at 67 new n road , London where he stumbled through the door.

He was scheduled to have a meeting with his boss shaungra louvrae at 10: 45 am so he had 45  minutes to work on his writing because he was The Writer!   He was finishing  publishing a book about a businessman who had been offered an amazing job and took it but later that day he went to the park and regretted his choice because the businessman valued his Family.

Then Peter  raced up the  stairs to Level D for his meeting with Shaungra Louvrae peter's boss lady. Shaungra told peter that he must have a book about Shakespeare done by the end of the month and that she liked his published book about the businessman.

Speedily Peter raced down the stairs and got back on his motorbike to go back to his house .There he made hundreds of  blueprints but it costed him valuable time . The next day he scavenged for parts at the scrapyard and found every part that he needed and raced back to create the Timebox ,  a machine that will take  him to stratford upon avon 1884 where Shakespeare lived .

Finally after 2 ½ weeks peter had created a working Timebox .  The day was long and Peter would ride the timebox tomorrow.The next day peter got up and had breakfast ,where his 2 children Lily and James asked why he was in a hurry  and he replied “i’m going back in time of course”. so James and lily looked for the Timebox and finally found it so they snuck in with their dad and mid journey they showed themselves and peter laughed.

Finally after what felt like hours  they reached 1884 stratford upon avon and they  hopped out and shrunk the Timebox . They looked for shakespeare  for 2 days and finally found him and he said “hello?” whilst they said  “ could you please write us an autobiography about yourself   , we can pay you 25 pound ”and he accepted the deal. After 1 week the autobiography was complete and the family came back home where the kids went to school and peter raced to work.

Finally peter arrived at work one hour before the end of the month and showed his book to Shaungra Louvrae but this is all she said “It was a prank, when i told you to do it, it was the 1st of April.

my Biography

MY MUM

My Mums short oak brown hair is as curly as a sheep.  Her eyes as blue as a clean stream. She always has a smile on the dile that extends further than love and she can walk  quite speedily.

We have so much fun together but she always has more fun than a hularing hippopotamus. Of course she's amazing but everyone has there downsides and hers is that she cries easily.

People who see her either think that she is a kindhearted chatty woman or a crazy and loopy woman with a lot on her plate. I think of her as a kindhearted fun mother.

Sure my mum gets upset when someone breaks one of her things but she hurts more when someone gets  broken. Of course some of the things she likes are what her children created because they hold memories and all of my mums memories are her prized possessions.

in inquiry we have made goals that we have put in a hot air balloon.I am committed to being a Risk taker  and improving my non-fiction writing.

roald dahl

In week 2 and 3 we made roald dahl posters.my poster included when he was born where he was when he was born when and where he died, how many books he wrote. He has written 43 books. some of the books he most enjoyed ,some facts about his family,  all of his jobs  and his injuries in 1940. written by Reuben Watkin-Ward

The Dimensions

...THE DIMENSIONS...

It all started with a bang of time that created the sixty three dimensions in which one is where this story starts. The Bang created a test for who pass. some dimensions are tested  on bravery,accuracy,heart,intelligence,speed and overcoming obstacles. The portal has only been found by one generation.

Chapter 1:the portal

Joe,James and David were brothers,of the generation of the universe who discovered the portal. It was the time for their journey through dimensions. If they completed them with pure heart they would be crowned kings and queens of the universe and would live for eternity.

     

Chapter 2:a package and Letter

They came out and saw a package and opened it.inside there was another package.  Next they read the letter and found out the secrets of time.they were the ones.they opened the package that showed a portal , the portal.when they woke up they were naked and had no clothes,furniture or anything except a letter.so they read it.

Come come come to the portal tonight . At the end the message fainted but the kids could still read it. They immediately told Mum and Dad. They said that they wouldn’t though. They didn’t believe them… How would they get to high point peak?they walked to the beach alone at 7:00pm.david gasped “we only have 5 more hours to get there”

gasped joe it was harsh.They asked several ugly captains but they all said NO.then they found mosquite a cat sailor ,fortunately mosquite said yes.the cat spoke in a French accent.he said to go to Steve's boat rentals,so off they went.They rented a boat called the duchess of mystery.then David asked Steve how much it would be and

Steve said”

20 dollars”.

joe handed him 5 pens and a jacket and said

“will this be enough?”steve said yes and handed them the key and off they went.it...s aaa m.m.m.motor b.b.b.b.b.boat .they cheered as James drove us to kahi bay.James told us that we were at kahi bay and that it would be quarter of an hour until we’d be at high point peek.Joe and David played 5 chess matches,the score was Joe 2 and david 3. Just then James said ‘we're nearly at high point peak ‘.david said  that at the top is the ancient portal. “We need to get to the top” gasped james…. !The mountain was as tall as the sky tower.

Chapter 3:the bear

Up in front of them lept a bear,’hi flat and puny human cakes or at least that's what you'll be when i’m

Done with you”.”dodge” said david. We have to get up said joe,so they tried to dodge but they couldn't.The bear took them to his cave…He tied them onto three bamboo poles under a fiercely flaming fire.So hows it feel punks ?Then they realised who the bear was. His name was deem prince of the dead. He was created by the crazed albert baboom king of the dead.

He created many babooms to destroy the human race but he died and deem took his place. He vowed to make many more babooms and to make sure no one became kings and queens.Now heres my baboominater and i plan to use this on you.Now that i’ve told you my plan you must be a baboom.”Not so fast “roared david.He jumped out with his pocket knife.If its a fight you want then its a fight youll get.Deem grabbed a razer sharp dagger. ...well i accept your duel ,it's to the death. Ok…

David roared” we come as a pack.altogether now,howl howl howl.here's some swords.”

Chapter 4 the battle

“Howlers come!”Suddenly 2 hairy and beastly dogs appeared. If you have three i have three warriors.James slashes his sword.now the howlers shot spikes at us. Joe throws his sword at deem but he reflected the sword back at his cauldron. David confidently slices deems pets.deem rushes to the howlers safety leaving us enough time to escape.Unfortunately deems pets were OK.They immediately chase after us…

POW .Take that. KAPOW. BOOM. They created a colossal crater but that didn't stop them. A tree fell down but that didn't stop them. A boulder rolled down but that didn't stop them. There was an avalanche but that didn't stop them.There was a Rock fall but that didn't stop them.Deem and his army were a zoo.David saw six motorbikes . “Let's ride them “cried james.so off they zoomed. To their surprise Deem was already at the top.well well well the three men. I've got you cornered . Or do you replied David.jump roared joe.

Chapter 5 :the portal at last

Finally they hopped through the portal.all 62 dimensions awaited them.they suddenly fell asleep and when they awoke they were in the dimensions.a cow woke them up with the sound of chewing.surprisingly the cow talked and said welcome to your journey.

I bet it I’l like it the three kids chorused.i hope you will said mr cow. Mr cow said that we should follow the light… .

Once upon a messy afternoon

In class we learnt about an artist named Andy warhol.

In his artwork he takes something and uses contrasting

colours to transform a normal thing into something from an alien

planet.he is most famous for his portraits.we took

inspiration from andy warhol and created 4 colour

contrasting crazy pictures.

This is how you make them:

1.take a photo of yourself and print in black and white.

2. Next trace your photo on  as many pieces of paper as you like in.pencil.(using less pieces  make it easier.

3.then go over it in sharpie.

4.now divide into parts like

Neck,face,lips eyes eyebrows,hair,clothes.

5. To complete use  contrasting colours and use a different colour in each section. Use dye.
